NAC, Immigration Dept officials nabbed for sending people abroad by forging documents

KATHMANDU: Officials of Nepal Airlines Corporation and Immigration Department are found involved in sending people abroad on visit visa by forging documents.

A ‘human trafficking’ racket was busted after a team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested four persons yesterday and today.

The suspects have been identified as Immigration Department Officer Narbir Khadka, Nepal Airlines Officer Arbin Yadav, NAC’s another employee Home Pokharel and agent Padam Lama.

Making public the detainees, police have told the mediapersons about the ways they have been sending people abroad.

According to police, the suspects used to make fake certificates, bank statements and visas for the people who aspire to go abroad in collusion with the travel agents.
