177 industries closed in Parsa due to economic crisis

BIRGUNJ: At least 177 industries have been closed in Parsa in the fiscal year 2022/23 due to economic crisis.

According to Cottage and Small Scale Industries Office Chief Dhananjaya Kumar Singh, the industries have been closed due to lack of capital and loans from banks and financial institutions.

One thousand and eighty-nine new industries were registered in the fiscal year 2022/23 in the Cottage and Small Scale Industries Office while 1,480 industries were registered in the fiscal year 2021/ 22.

The Office said that 1, 275 industries renewed their registration, 165 increased their capital, 33 changed the locations and 84 sold the industries in the fiscal year 2022/23.

The Office collected Rs 10. 6 million revenues in the fiscal year 2022/23.

Chef Singh said that 4, 460 people got jobs in the fiscal year 2022/ 23.
