NOC Executive Director Thani calls it quits

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation Executive Director Umesh Prasad Thani resigned from his post on Tuesday.

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Umesh Rijal told Nepal Press over phone that Thani submitted his resignation to him this afternoon.

The Secretariat has kept the resignation submitted by Thani, Minister Rijal said.

He submitted his resignation effective from December 13.

Thani was appointed as the Executive Director of the state-owned monopoly on March 10, 2022 when Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was the prime minister.

Thani, who was appointed for three years, tendered his resignation by serving for only one year and nine months.
