CPN (MC) postpones Kathmandu-centric protest programme

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has postponed the protest programme announced for November 8 against anti-republican and anti-federalism.

The Maoist Centre said that the demonstration scheduled to be held in Kathmandu has been postponed due to the earthquake.

At a time when Maoist Centre is being criticised for announcing the street protest even by leading the government, the party said that the programme was postponed due to the earthquake and other reasons.

Maoist Center spokesperson Agni Sapkota, however, said that the demonstrations are being held in other districts than Kathmandu.

He said that the ward and local level programmes will be continued.
