CPN (Maoist Centre) to give vote of confidence to Koshi Province CM Karki

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to give a vote of confidence to Koshi Province Chief Minister Kedar Karki.

The Maoist Centre has made a decision to give a vote of confidence to Karki, who revolted against the decision of the central alliance and the Nepali Congress and was appointed as the chief minister with the support of CPN-UML.

The ruling alliance had decided to appoint Maoist Centre’s Indra Angbo as the chief minister.

Along with Shekhar Koirala faction’s Karki, eight other lawmakers revolted against the decision of the center.

Karki, who was appointed as the chief minister with the support of 39 Province Assembly members of CPN-UML and eight of Shekar Koirala’s faction on Saturday, appointed Shumsher Rana of Nepali Congress and Ram Rana Magar of UML as ministers on Sunday.

He is seeking a vote of confidence on Wednesday.

Maoist Centre Province Chairman Harka Bahadur Nembang said that the decision has been made to give a vote of confidence to Karki.
