Newly appointed CM of Koshi Province Karki holds meeting with UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Kedar Karki, who arrived in Kathmandu on the day he was appointed as the chief minister of Koshi Province, held a meeting with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Karki, who had reached Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala’s residence to meet him soon after he landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Saturday evening, had reached Balkot to meet UML Chairman Oli.

Karki was appointed as the chief minister of Koshi Province with the support of UML on Saturday. He is preparing to take the oath of office and secrecy today.

Karki, who had revolted against the party’s decision, is also preparing to appoint a leader from the CPN-UML and a Congress lawmaker who supported him as ministers today itself.
