PM Dahal proposes RPP Chair Lingden to help in forming government in Koshi

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden held a meeting in the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed contemporary political issues and formation of a government in Koshi Province among others, RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said.

“The Chairman and the Prime Minister had held a meeting. The Prime Minister had floated a proposal for the formation of a government in Koshi Province. The Chairman has not given a concrete answer,” he said.

“We are decisive for the formation of the government in Koshi Province. That is why, talks have been started for the same. No agreement has been reached on the issue so far,” Shrestha said.

On the other hand, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who has made a decision to form the government under their leadership in Koshi, has also been making preparations to meet Lingden.

An office-bearers’ meeting of the Congress held this morning has decided to form the government under party’s leadership.
