Ex-King Gyanendra Shah receives warm welcome in Bhaktapur (With photos)

BHAKTAPUR: Ex-King Gyanendra Shah has reached Bhaktapur as a part of his cultural visit on Sunday.

A large crowd of locals had gathered in Bhaktapur to welcome him.

Locals had gathered at the Durbar Square hours before he came to Bhaktapur.

Many of them were carrying the Nepali flags in their hands.

Locals had chanted slogans in favour of monarchy.

There was a smile on his face when locals chanted slogans like “Our king and country are dearer than our life. Come king, protect the country.”

The former king visited the Durbar Square and also offered prayers at the Taleju Bhawani Temple.
