Nembang’s body taken to party headquarters in Chyasal from TUTH (With photos)

KATHMANDU: The mortal remains of Constituent Assembly Chairman and CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Subash Chandra Nembang has been taken to the party headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur from Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).

His body will be kept at the party headquarters from 12 pm for final tributes.

According to a family source, Nembang’s last rites will be performed after his son comes to Nepal from Australia.

Meanwhile, the government has decided to cremate Nembang with statement honours.

An emergency Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday morning also decided to give a public holiday on the day of his cremation.

Nembang was taken to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack at 1 am today at his Baluwatar-based residence. He breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
