Constituent Assembly Chairman Nembang dies of heart attack

KATHMANDU: Constituent Assembly Chairman and CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Subash Nembang passed away in the wee hours of Tuesday.

He was rushed to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after he suffered a heart attack at his Baluwatar-based residence.

Nembang, who was taken to the hospital at 1 am following the heart attack, breathed his last on the way to the hospital, his personal secretary Krishna Kafle said.

Preparations are being made to take his body to the home after consultation with party Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
