Routine of Nepal Banda page ‘shut down’ following Mayor Shah’s status dispute

KATHMANDU: Popular Facebook page ‘Routine of Nepal Banda’ which has four million followers has suddenly been shut down.

According to a source, the decision to close down the Facebook page was made after being ‘unable to handle the pressure’ following the accusation of defending Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah.

Victor Paudel, operator of the page, wrote a status on his Facebook page saying that he is going to take a bold decision.

After that, the Facebook page and the Instagram page of the ‘Routine of Nepal Banda’ were shut down.

The followers have not been given any information.

Expressing his dissatisfaction over stopping the KMC’s vehicle, Mayor Shah had written a status warning that he would set Singha Dubar on fire.

Shah was widely criticized for the same.

The next morning, Routine of Nepal of Banda made public the news that Balen Shah has been blessed with a daughter. But the daughter was born a few days ago.

The Routine of Nepal Banda was accused of publishing the news to divert the attention of the public.

Later, the page corrected the status and said ‘a few days ago’.

After getting into a controversy, the Routine shut down the page temporarily, a source said.
