Death toll in Pepsicola road accident reaches 2

KATHMANDU: Death toll in Pepsicola road accident has reached two.

Police said that the incident occurred when a bus (Ba 3 Kha 4848) heading towards Pepsicola from Jadibuti hit a Bolero Jeep (Ba 6 Cha 5342), a scooter (Bagmati Province 02-037 Pa 5311) and a motorbike (Bagmati Province 02-041 Pa 4838) this morning.

SP Kumod Dhungel, spokesperson at the Kathmandu Police Range, Kathmandu, said that among the injured, two succumbed to injuries in the course of treatment.

The deceased have been identified as bike rider Raj Bhattarai (21) of Sarlahi and Armed Polic Force Constable Usha Thapa (25).

Police said that they have impounded the bus and arrested its driver Janak Raut (24) of Ramechhap of investigation.
