Chand-led CPN announces first phase of protest programme against MCC

KATHMANDU: The Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal has announced a first phase of protest programme against the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

A Standing Committee meeting of the party held on Friday announced a protest programme from September 5-9, leader Anil Sharma said.

He said that interaction programmes will be held in Nuwakot, Tanahun, Dhading, Makwanpur, Nawalparasi and Rupandehi districts.

Similarly, a march-past campaign will be conducted from September 18-October 2, he said.

The campaign, which will start from Lapsiphedi, will conclude in Palpa.

Sharma said that a general discussion was held about the four-party Socialist Front in the meeting.
