Two nabbed for duping people through a lottery scam

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in duping people saying that they won an iPhone in a lottery.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police said that they have recovered around Rs 5 million in cash, 183 sim cards and 12 ATM cards from their possession.

The suspects have been identified as Raj Kumar Pandit (30) of Bahudamai-8, Parsa and Umesh Kumar Yadav (21) of Katahariya-1, Rautahat.

The Bureau said that they are being investigated on the charge of conning people by using electronic means.

Police said that they have recovered 4, 995,000 in cash from their possession.
