8 killed as bus plunges into Trishuli river

KATHMANDU: Eight persons died when a passenger bus veered off a road and plunged into the Trishuli river in Gajuri-2 of Dhading on Wednesday.

Gautam Mishra, Chief at the District Police Office, Dhading, said that they have recovered eights bodies from the incident site.

The bus (Pradesh 3-01-005 Kha 9952) was heading towards Pokhara from Kathmandu when the incident occurred this morning, he said.

Police said that the death toll my rise as the rescue operations are still going on.
