Air India flight faces technical problem on runway at TIA

KATHMANDU: A Delhi-bound Air India flight faced a technical problem while on the runway at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Tuesday.

According to TIA spokesperson Subash Jha, the issue was observed in the aircraft’s brakes.

He mentioned that a tractor towed the aircraft away from the runway to the parking area.

Both domestic and international flights have been affected due to the technical problem experienced by Air India on the runway.

The TIA runway was closed for approximately 40 minutes, as stated by the airport authorities. All flights approaching the Kathmandu airport were forced to remain on hold in the sky.
