Inmates set fire to Jhapa prision

BIRTAMOD: A violent clash broke out among the prisoners at District Prison Bhadrapur, Jhapa on Friday. The situation escalated when a fire broke out inside the prison during the clash.
The incident took place when the inmates started protesting against the authorities’ decision to transfer a fellow inmate, Manoj Lawati, from Bhadrapur District Prison to Jhumka Prison in Sunsari.
A large number of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel were deployed outside the prison.
