PM Dahal’s wife Sita Dahal passes away

KATHMANDU : Sita Dahal, the wife of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has passed away on Wednesday.

The Norvic Hospital issued a statement this morning declaring her death at 8:33 AM.

Dahal had been battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare neurological disorder, along with Parkinsonism, Diabetes Mellitus-II and Hypertension.

She was admitted to the Norvic Hospital after her health condition detoriated.

According to YCL in-charge Ram Prasad Sapkota, Dahal’s body will be kept at the party central office Parisdanda, Koteshwar from 11 am to 1 pm to pay the final tributes.

The funeral rites will be held at Pashupati Aryaghat today afternoon, Sapkota said.
