3 including Minister Singh succumb to injury in Bajhang accident (Update)
KAILALI: Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Prithvi Bahadur Singh of the Sudurpaschim Province, who was critically injured in the Bajhang road accident, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
Along with Singh, his wife Amrita Singh, and his sister-in-law Jaya Singh also breathed their last during the course of treatment.
Five persons including Minister Singh, his wife Amrita Singh, his sister-in-law Jaya Singh, his personal security officer, Deepak Bhandari and the driver of the vehicle were heading towards Bajhang from Dadeldhura when the accident took place today afternoon.
The four-wheeler had fell some 50 metres down the road in the Kedar-Syun Rural Municipality of the district.
The driver and Singh’s personal security officer are currently undergoing treatment at the Nepal Medical College, it is said.
Bajhang accident: 2 including Minister Singh’s wife killed
KAILALI: Two persons, who were critically injured in a road accident that took place in Bajhang today, breathed their last during the course of treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Amrita Singh, wife of Minister Prithvi Bahadur Singh and Jaya Singh, sister-in-law of Minister Singh. Prithvi Bahadur Singh is the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Prithvi Bahadur Singh of Sudurpaschim Province.
As many as four persons, including the Sudurpaschim Province minister, were critically injured when the vehicle they were traveling on met with an accident on Tuesday.
Minister Singh and his personal security officer, Deepak Bhandari, are in critical condition, while the driver’s condition is moderate, it is said.
They have already been airlifted to Nepalgunj for further treatment.
