Yeti Group chair Sherpa and team safely return to base camp after Everest ascent

KATHMANDU : In an extraordinary feat of courage and determination, Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, chairman of the Yeti Group and a senior tourism entrepreneur, along with the expedition team, triumphantly returned to the base camp on Friday after successfully scaling the majestic Mount Everest.

Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa and the team had reached the peak of Mount Everest at around 7:30 am on May 17.

Accompanied by the team of Thamserku Expedition, a travel company, Sherpa accomplished his mission of climbing all seven summits after his final successful ascent of Mt Everest.

He was warmly welcomed at the base camp by fellow climbers and individuals associated with the climbing team today afternoon. Other members of the climbing team, operated by Thamserku Expedition Pvt Ltd, have also reached the base camp. The team’s arrival at base camp also marked the safe return of all members of the expedition.

Thamserku Expedition through the Facebook joyfully announced the successful return of their courageous and determined team from the Everest expedition, signifying the remarkable culmination of an extraordinary journey.

As Sherpa prepares to return to Kathmandu tomorrow, the accomplishment of his Seven Summits mission will be etched in the annals of mountaineering history. His relentless pursuit of adventure and unwavering determination serve as an inspiration to aspiring climbers and adventurers worldwide.
