Two held with more than one kg cocaine

KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday arrested a 63-year-old Kenyan woman and an Indian man with 1.80 kilograms of cocaine from Thamel in Kathmandu.

The arrestee has been identified as Pilinsa Wanja and Rabindra Kumar (51).

The woman had arrived in Nepal from Kenya on April 14.

Kumar had arrived from New Delhi in India to retrieve the cocaine brought by the woman, police said.

According to preliminary investigation, Wanja was about to get 3,000 dollars in cash while Kumar, on the other hand, was set to receive twenty thousand Indian rupees for delivering and receiving the cocaine, police said.

Police said that they are further investigating the case.
