NC to support Upendra Yadav in Bara-2

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has decided to support the Janata Samajbadi Party in the by-election of Bara-2.

Joint General Secretary Badri Pandey said that a Central Work Execution Committee meeting of the party held on Sunday decided to make Upendra Yadav a common candidate of the alliance for the by-election slated for April 23.

The party has decided to field Upendra Yadav in the region.

Yadav’s name has been recommended unanimously.

The Janamat Party has decided to field Shiva Chandra Kushwaha in Bara-2.

Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party is going to field DIG Ramesh Kharel.

The Democratic Socialist Party is likely to field Rajendra Mahato.

The CPN-UML has not made the decision yet.
