5 killed in Sindhuli bus accident

KATHMANDU: Five persons died in a bus accident in Sindhuli on Sunday.

The bus (Ba 3 Kha 6596) was heading towards Kathmandu from Okhaldhunga when the tragedy occurred.

SP Raj Kumar Silwal of the District Police Office, Sindhuli said that two men, two women and a child died in the incident.

He said that 24 persons were injured in the accident.

They have been taken to Khurkot for treatment. Of the injured, five are said to be in critical condition.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
