NC asks UML to vote for its candidate in presidential election

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has formally asked the CPN-UML to vote its candidate in the presidential election slated for March 9.

Chief Secretary at the Congress Central Office Krishna Prasad Paudel handed over a letter to UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli Oli on behalf of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba this afternoon seeking the former’s help in the presidential election.

After receiving the letter, Oli said that he was not negative towards  NC’s presidential candidate Ram Chandra Paudel, he said.

“Ram Chandra ji is a friend of mine. We had served jail terms together. I do not have negative feelings towards him,” Paudel said, quoting Oli.

Leader Paudel has also expected that Oli would help him in the presidential election.
