UML decides to quit government

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has decided to quit the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government.

A Secretariat meeting of the party held on Monday made the decision to this effect.

The UML has eight ministers in the Dahal-led government.

Talking to journalists after the meeting, Vice-Chairman Bishnu Paudel said that the party decided to pull out of the government after Prime Minister Dahal showed no sign of implementing the agreement signed on December 25.

“The meeting held today decided to withdraw support extended to the government and also decided to quit it,” he said.
