ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2: Nepal register thumping win over Scotland

KATHMANDU: Nepal thumped Scotland by two wickets to secure their fourth consecutive win in the ongoing triangular one-day series under the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 on Tuesday.

With an excellent batting from skipper Rohit Poudel, Nepal chased the target of 212 runs set by Scotland in 44.1 overs, losing eight wickets.

After winning the toss, Nepal invited Scotland to bat first.

Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane took four wickets for Nepal, while Karan KC claimed three wickets.

Kushal Malla and Lalit Rajbanshi took one wicket each.

skipper Rohit Poudel scored unbeaten 95 runs off 101 balls, hitting seven fours and four sixes.

Karan KC contributed 31 runs with one six and two boundaries.

The partnership of Poudel and KC gave Nepal a thrilling victory against Scotland.
