17 injured as bus plunges into Kaligandaki river

POKHARA: At least 17 persons were injured when a commuter bus met with an accident near Lete in Mustang on Wednesday.

Chief District Officer Anup KC said that the incident occurred when the bus (Na 7 Kha 7440) heading towards Pokhara from Jomsom of Mustang plunged into the Kaligandaki river this morning.

Among the injured, 13 have been referred to Pokhara for further treatment.

Chief District Officer KC said that of the injured, two are foreigners.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
