TIA General Manager Thakur suspended (With audio)

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) General Manager Premnath Thakur has been suspended.

The Tourism Ministry suspended Thakur after he was found asking for bribes to give continuity to the ground handling of Thai Smile aircraft.

Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Authority Minister Sudan Kiranti took action against Thakur after he was found bargaining with the representatives of the airlines.

It has also been decided to send him to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for investigation.
