Lumbini Province CM wins vote of confidence

RUPANDEHI: Lumbini Province Chief Minister Leela Giri won the vote of confidence on Thursday.

All the lawmakers ruling coalition parties voted in favour of him.

A total of 57 lawmakers—eight political parties and two independent lawmakers—gave a vote of confidence to Giri.

Twenty nine lawmakers of CPN-UML, eight of CPN (Maoist Centre), four each of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party, three each of Democratic Socialist Party and Janamat Party, one of CPN (Unified Socialist) and two independent lawmakers voted for him.

Twenty eight lawmakers voted against him.
