NC’s Neupane files nomination for Speaker’s post

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Ishwari Devi Neupane registered her nomination for the post of the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Neupane registered her nomination after reaching Parliament Building in New Baneshwor this afternoon.

Party General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma proposed the nomination of Neupane while CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Prakash Jwala seconded the proposal.

From the ruling coalition, CPN (UML), lawmaker Devraj Ghimire registered his candidacy for Speaker’s post in the HoR.

The election for the HoR speaker is taking place tomorrow (Thursday) at 11 am.
