CPN (MC) Chair Dahal in Balkot for the first time after split of NCP

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal reached Balkot for the first time on Sunday after the split of Nepal Communist Party.

Dahal reached Balkot after a meeting of the ruling coalition held in Baluwatar on Sunday failed to make an agreement.

The Maoist supreme went to Balkot to meet Oli after the Nepali Congress refused to give up its claim for the post of president and prime minister.

The relations between Dahal and Oli had soured after the latter dissolved the House on December 19, 20202.

Dahal extended his hand for cooperation with the UML again after the Nepali Congress decided not to leave the post of president and prime minister at any cost.
