Narayangadh-Muglin road to be shut for 4 hours everyday from today

BHARATPUR: The Narayangadh-Muglin Road Project has decided to block traffic from the road for four hours a day from today for the construction of bridges.

Project Engineer Kiran Karki said that the vehicles would be blocked from 11 am to 3 pm every day for a month.

The bridges will be constructed over Simtaal, Kalikhola, Tuinkhola and Chisenjikhola rivers.

Engineer Karki said that bridges are being constructed in 15 places and the construction of nine has already been completed.

The District Administration Office has urged people to use alternative routes.

The commuter vehicles heading towards Narayangadh will be stopped from Pandrakilo to Jugedi from 11 am and freight vehicles will be stopped from Bhateri Jungle to Ramnagar from 10:50 am.

Similarly, the passenger vehicles coming from Kathmandu will be stopped from Muglin Bazaar to Manakamana Cable Car and vehicles coming from Pokhara will be stopped from Begnitar to Powerhouse from 10: 55 am.

Likewise, the freight vehicles coming from Kathmandu will be stopped in Lebatar and vehicles coming from Pokhara will be stopped in Abukhaireni at 10: 45 am.

However, emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire fighters will be exempt.

The bridges are being constructed along the Narayangarh-Muglin road section with the help of the World Bank at the cost of Rs 1.25 billion.
