10 killed in Jajarkot jeep accident

KATHMANDU: At least 10 persons died when a jeep fell of a cliff in Chedagad Municipality-4 of Jajarkot district on Monday.
Deputy Chief of Chedagad Municipality Chandra Bahadur Thapa said that nine died on the spot and one breathed his last on the way to a hospital.
The tragedy occurred when the four-wheeler (Karnali Province 001 Cha 0429) was heading towards Lewa from Jewa.
The deceased have been identified as jeep driver Man Bahadur Raut of Dailekh, Bhagwatimai-2, Birendra KC and Ambar Bahadur Khadka of Bhagwatimai-3.
Similarly, other deceased have been identified as Deepak Bahadur Adhikari, Ambar Bahadur Adhikari, Nainsara Adhikari, Jaikuwara Buda, Ram Bahadur Buda of Khedagad Municipality-5 and Bir Bahadur Khatri of Khedagad Municipality-6.
Jayabhan Adhikari and five-year-old Nisha Adhikari were injured in the incident.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
