UML’s Gokul Baskota wins HoR election from Kavre-2

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML candidate Gokul Baskota has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kavre-2.

He defeated Shiva Prasad Humagain of Nepali Congress, a common candidate of the ruling alliance, by a margin of 5, 863 votes.

According to Chief Election Office, Baskota secured 45, 345 votes while his closest contender Humagain garnered 39, 482 votes.

Similarly, Dinesh Humagain of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got 10, 586 votes.
