4 policemen killed in Baitadi jeep accident

KATHMANDU: Four policemen died in a jeep accident at Patan in Baitadi on Monday.

Chief District Officer of Baitadi Suresh Panthi said that all of them died on the spot.

He said that the jeep (Se 1 Ja 854) met with an accident at Thum in Ningaladi of Patan Municipality-4 this morning.

There were 14 persons on board the ill-fated jeep.

It has been learnt that they were returning after delivering ballot boxes to Patan of Baitadi.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
