PM Deuba gets permission to conduct election campaigns in Dadeldhura

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has given permission to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba with conditions for election campaigning.

He was preparing to go to home district Dadeldhura with a four-day program from November 3 to 6 for the election campaign.

Deuba, also the President of Nepali Congress, has been asked not to use government resources while carrying out election campaigns.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers had sent a letter to the Election Commission asking for the permission.

The poll body granted permission directing him not to travel for campaigning using the government resources.

EC assistant spokesperson Gururaj Wagle said that Deuba has been directed to conduct election campaigns abiding by the election code of conduct.

Prime Minister Deuba was found using the chopper of Nepal Army to attend the election assembly of the coalition in Rupandehi.
