One killed as Scorpio used for election campaign hits motorbike in Sarlahi-2

KATHMANDU: A person died and another sustained injuries when a Scorpio used during an election campaign in Sarlahi-2 hit a motorbike on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Nek Mohammad (22) of Sonbarsa.

Similarly, Asalam Safi (10) of Malangawa Municipality-9 was also injured during the incident.

Both Mohammad and Safi were taken to Malangawa for treatment. Mohammad died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The vehicle used for the election campaign was of Mahindra Raya Yadav, local says. Yadav is the common candidate of the ruling coalition.

Meanwhile, locals and relatives of the deceased protested against Raya demanding necessary action.
