Chargesheet filed against Sandeep Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: A chargesheet has been filed against the suspended national cricket team captain, Sandeep Lamichhane, on Monday demanding 10-12 years of imprisonment.

The Kathmandu District Attorney’s Office filed the rape charge against Lamichhane at the Kathmandu District Court this afternoon.

Earlier on September 7, a 17-year-old girl had filed a rape case against Lamichhane.

On October 6, police arrested Lamichhane from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Lamichanne has been in police custody since then.
