Rastra Bank starts selling gold and silver coins targeting Tihar festival (With photos)

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has started selling gold and silver coins targeting the upcoming Tihar festival from Thursday.

The bank started selling the coins from Taksar Department in Babarmahal targeting the Dhanteras, the first day of the five-day-long Tihar festival.

Buying bullion on this day is considered auspicious.

The bank has fixed the selling price of 2.5 grams of gold at Rs 20, 726, five grams at Rs 41, 451 and 10 grams at Rs 82, 902.
