PM Deuba preparing to remove JSP ministers from government

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to remove ministers of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) from the government.

The party had forged an electoral alliance leaving the ruling coalition, expressing dissatisfaction over the seat allocation.

Hence, Prime Minister Deuba is preparing to remove the JSP ministers from the government.

The prime minister has called a meeting of the coalition at 2 pm today to discuss the issue.

CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s Secretariat said that the meeting will also discuss the rebel candidates.

Prime Minister Deuba has also been holding consultations with the legal practitioners to remove the JSP ministers as the election code of conduct has already been implemented.

The prime minister is preparing to remove Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Rajendra Prasad Shrestha, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Mohammad Istiyak Rai, Forest and Environment Minister Pradeep Yadav and Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav.

The JSP has forged an electoral alliance in 17 seats after leaving the ruling coalition.
