5 killed, 11 go missing as landslide buries house in Mugu

KATHMANDU: Five persons died and 11 others have gone missing when a landslide buried a house at Salim in Chhayanath Rara Municipality-11 of Mugu on Monday.

Chief District Officer Rom Bahadur Mahat said that Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army personnel have been deployed to search the missing persons.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the concerned district administration and security agencies to immediately rescue those injured in floods and landslides in Mugu, Kalikot and Humla.
