Bhattarai announces not to contest in upcoming elections

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has announced that he will not contest in the upcoming federal and provincial elections slated for November 20.

Addressing the voters of his constituency, Bhattarai announced through Facebook that he will not be a candidate in the upcoming elections.

Bhattarai thanked his voters of Gorkha for making him victorious in the 2064, 2070 and 2074 elections.

He said that he will remain in politics for life and serve the people.
