Newly elected presidents of National Assembly take oath of office and secrecy (With video)

KATHMANDU: Newly elected presidents of four committees of the National Assembly took the oath of office and secrecy on Thursday.

National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsena administered the oath of office and secrecy to the presidents amidst a programme in Singha Durbar this afternoon.

Pakash Pantha was elected unopposed in the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, Beduram Bhusal in the Legislative Committee, Maya Prasad Sharma in the Delegated Management and Government Assurance Committee and Dil Kumari Rawal Thapa in the National Concerns and Coordination Committee.

The four committees got the president after seven months.

There is a provision to hold the election of the president of the National Assembly committees every two years.
