Three killed in Rautahat lightning

RAUTAHAT: Three persons died after being struck by a lightning at Malahitole in Garuda Municipality-3 of Rautahat district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Sudaniya Devi (39), Jagiya Kumari (70) and Manisha Kumari (18), DSP Rupesh Kumar Singh, Chief at the Area Police Office, Garuda, said.

Among the deceased, Sudaniya and Jagiya are from the same family.

Sailidevi (40) was injured in the incident.

The incident occurred while they were working in a field, DSP Singh said.
