NSU cadres intervene in press conference of Tribhuvan University

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Student Union, student wing of ruling Nepal Congress, intervened in the press conference organised by the Tribhuvan University on Sunday.

The NSU cadres foiled the press conference organised by Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University Prof. Dr Dharmakant Baskota.

The cadres of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the student wing of main opposition CPN-UML, had staged a demonstration chanting slogans saying that peace should be maintained in the University.

The NSU cadres pelted stones at the press conference venue, an official at the University said.

Meanwhile, a large number of security personnel have been deployed when the situation of clash arouses between the two student groups.

NSU students staged the demonstration demanding action against the professors who asked questions similar to the previous years while ANNFSU cadres warned of opening the padlock.
