Madhesh government to provide financial assistance of Rs 500, 000 to Niharika Rajput

JANAKPURDHAM: The Madhesh government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 500,000 to Niharika Rajput, an unmarried mother.

Rajput, a permanent resident of Jaleshwor, Mahottari, has been staging a hunger strike in Kathmandu for a long time demanding justice, saying that Shivaraj Shrestha, a resident of Kshireshwarnath Municipality-3, Mahendra Nagar, repeatedly raped her and impregnated her.

Finance Minister Sailendra Sah, who is also the spokesperson of the Madhesh Province, said that the government has decided to provide Rs 500, 000 to Rajput to fight the legal battle.
