Locals beat up bandh enforcer in Banepa (With video)

KATHMANDU: Locals beat up a bandh enforcer in Banepa of Kavre on Tuesday and handed him over to the police.

Locals assaulted Pramod Giri (24) after he vandalised a vehicle by hurling stones at Charkune in Banepa this morning.

Police reached the incident site after they saw locals beating up a bandh enforcer.

DSP Dhundiraj Neupane, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kavre, said that Giri is a cadre of one of the communist parties.

He has been kept at the District Police Office, Kavre for investigation.

The bandh called by a joint morcha of four communist parties today, however, did not have much impact.

The bandh enforcers vandalised public vehicles in various places of the country.

Police have arrested 16 bandh enforcers from different places.
