Law Minister Bandi urges Niharika Rajput to end hunger strike
KATHMANDU: Law Minister Govinda Bandi on Monday met Niharika Rajput, who has been staging a hunger strike for the past 11 days in Kathmandu.
He reached the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) and urged her to end the hunger strike.
Minister Bandi said that the government is sensitive towards Rajput’s demands.
He said that he would take initiatives to conduct the DNA test of the child and the accused.

Saying that the Janakpur High Court would issues an order of DNA test on August 24, the minister urged her to break the hunger strike.
“He has assured that my demands including the DNA can be fulfilled,” Rajput told Nepal Press.
Rajput said that she would end her strike only after all her demands are addressed.
