Locals obstruct road after tipper carrying garbage kills goat

KATHMANDU: The people of Kagati Village obstructed the road demanding compensation after a tipper carrying garbage killed a goat on Sunday.

The locals obstructed the road after the tipper heading towards Banchare Danda carrying garbage killed the goat this morning.

The authorities have started collecting the garbage from Kathmandu today.

The dumping of garbage has been halted from today following the protest.

Hundreds of vehicles have been stranded mid-way after the locals obstructed the road.

As many as 152 vehicles had reached Banchare Danda on Saturday.
