Chinese envoy pays courtesy call on Home Minister Khand

KATHMANDU : Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Friday.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs this morning, the duo discussed further strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and China.

Home Minister Khand said that Nepal is in the favour of One- China policy.

“Nepal is in favour of One-China policy”, Minister Khand said, ” We will not allow Nepal’s land to be used against our neighbors.”

In response, Ambassador Yanqi said that China is ready to help Nepal in disaster management.

The Chinese ambassador on Wednesday had said that she is confident that Nepal will support China on the Taiwan issue.
